Za Low Stool by Emeco is the brainchild of Naoto Fukasawa. Like the iconic Navy Chair, it boasts a handcrafted production process that will allow you to use Za Stool all your life and pass it down through generations.Za Low Stool is made according to the quality standards of Emeco, which bases its strength on the high manufacturing expertise of aluminium working, introducing a unique circular turning process for the seat. Za in Japanese is the word for 'a place to sit', so the designer wants to evoke the idea of a minimal and concrete lifestyle. The result is a clean, clear-cut and essential design, a light piece of furniture that is perfect to be placed in any environment, given the considerable versatility of characters, determined by more or less lively finishes. Furthermore, Emeco takes great care to affect the planet's balance as little as possible, using recycled and recyclable aluminium and emitting very low levels of CO2 into the air, using mostly clean, self-produced energy.
