Teste di Moro Black is a decorative set consisting of 2 vases produced by the Fratelli Bevilacqua brand and available in MOHD selection.The vases tell one of the oldest stories of Sicilian's tradition, a land made of colors, scents, intrigues and passion.Their narration starts around the year 1000, during Arab domination and takes place in the Kalsa a district in Palermo, where it is said that a young and beautiful girl spent her days taking care of her balcony plants.A mocking destiny recounts that one day, a young Moor passed there and seeing her he falled madly in love with her, a sentiment reciprocated by the young girl, unaware that, on the other side of the sea, a wife and children awaited his return.Once discovered, blinded by jealousy, the girl killed him by beheading him and to keep him always with her, she put his head in a vase in which she planted some basil.The plant, watered every day with hers tears, became more and more luxuriant, arousing the neighbors curiosity, who envious commissioneted vases by local craftsmen with the same features as those of the girl.Hence the tradition of the Teste di Moro, which come in multiple colors, shapes and sizes.Made of ceramic, the brand offers them in this elegant black finish to give your rooms charm and passion.
