Teste di Moro 35 cm Glossy Bordeaux - Set of 2 vases

Teste di Moro Bordeaux is a decorative set consisting of 2 vases produced by the Fratelli Bevilacqua brand and available in MOHD selection.Inspired by the history of the Sicilian tradition, the vases depict the protagonists of the passionate and intriguing love story between a Sicilian girl and a young Moor. Its narration takes place in the Kalsa district in Palermo, during Arab domination, where a young girl spent her time on the balcony watering her luxuriant plants.Fate wanted that one day, a young Moor man with a deceptive charm passed through the neighborhood. In fact, he kept a secret with him, beyond the sea, a wife and her children were waiting for his return. The two youngers fell madly in love, but once discovered, the jealous girl killed him by beheading him and inserted his head in a pot in which she planted some basil. The plant, watered every day with its tears, became more and more luxuriant, arousing the curiosity of the neighbors who, envious, commissioneted vases by local craftsmen with the same features as those of the girl.Hence the beginning of a centuries-old artisan tradition that is declined in multiple shapes and colors which, in this case, are presented in a bodeaux ceramic that will give great charm to all your rooms.
