272 Mex-Hi is a modular sofa designed by Piero Lissoni for Cassina. Conceived as a system in which each element is independent, in fact, it consists of five different sized bases on which the independent cushions: armrests, backrests, and seats.Like most of the 2020 projects, Mex-Hi is also the result of the collaboration between the Cassina Research and Development Centre and Poli.design at the Milan Polytechnic, in fact, the sofa is made with a look at the environment. A 100% recycled fiber, deriving from PET mainly recovered from the sea, has been introduced into the cushion padding. The frame is in tubular steel with elastic belts; the upholstery is removable.Mex-Hi is extremely versatile in the configurations that you can create, from corners or in-line to the island. In addition, it is possible to complete the compositions with the collection of freestanding side tables and pouf/table. Mex-Hi has a contemporary style that once again, like many Cassina products, offers the possibility of inserting it in different contexts, such as the classic style of a farmhouse or a historical and architectural value, making the space elegant and original. In this version: sofa upholstery in fabric cat.
