272 Mex-Hi Sofa Collection

272 Mex-Hi is a modular sofa designed by Piero Lissoni for Cassina. Raised version of the Mex Cube model, the Mex-Hi is a very versatile sofa, able to meet the multiple needs of use thanks to the variety of elements and configurations available. The Mex-Hi seating system by Piero Lissoni consists of five different sized bases on which the independent cushions of the armrests, seats and backrests are fastened. The large and comfortable volumes are raised off the ground thanks to a chromed steel tubular structure, equipped with elastic straps, which binds to the freestanding side table and the pouf/ table from the same collection. The Mex-Hi sofa was born from the collaboration between the Cassina Research and Development Center and the Poli.design at the Milan Polytechnic, made with innovative materials in order to make it comfortable and more sensitive to the environment. The cushions padding is in fact made from a 100% recycled fiber, deriving from PET mainly recovered from the oceans. Mex-Hi has a contemporary style that offers the possibility of inserting it in different contexts, making the space always elegant and original.
