Black on White Estambul Rug

Estambul is a rug by Javier Mariscal produced by Nanimarquina, made in New Zealand wool. Estambul is part of Black on White collection that includes: Estambul, Manuscrit and Limbo; three rugs which draw inspiration from different original works and significant.The design of Estambul inspired, as a base, from a  watercolour painted by Mariscal in 1987 the design is updated using unique patterns reminiscent of comics, synthesizing East and West, placing traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design in one product.
