The Vipp bin is internationally recognised as a design classic and has been accepted into the architecture and design collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York since 2009. In 1985, Holger Nielsen designed the Vipp Office Line. Originally, the bins were a special order for the department store Illums Bolighus in Copenhagen, which had ordered office bins on wheels in three sizes for their office and shops. One of the bins, the medium-sized one, is still in production.
