Unterlinden Suspension Lamp is an idea of the architects Herzog & De Meuron for the brand Artemide. A die-cast aluminium or bronze body with a natural wooden appearance and high technological and lighting value. The lamp Unterlinden is designed for museum installation. The light source is a COB LED, to ensure maximum luminous efficiency at a low cost. The luminous flux is also controlled by a high-efficiency polymer lens specially designed to concentrate the light beam. The lamp body has a dual function: dissipating the heat produced by the source and directing the luminous flux downwards. It has a dual finish, antiqued externally and mirror-polished internally, making it a perfect reflector with high luminous efficiency. The shape is the result of an accurate design study that set itself the objective of obtaining a lamp body that combines the aesthetic charm of an object from bygone days with a high technological and lighting value.
