Tulip Swivel Chair with Cushion

Tulip is a side chair by Eero Saarinen for Knoll. Cast aluminum with Rilsan coated finish for the white and black versions of a swivel base. The shell is molded fiberglass reinforced plastic bonded finish. Tulip is a chair that was designed in 1957, considered one of the icons of modern design. Tulip breaks the mold of the classic chair with four legs, like the material it is made, with the advent of plastics in those years, this was one of the most important creations of domestic furniture. The KnollStudio logo and the signature of Eero Saarinen are located under the base. The seat cushion removable cover is secured to the seat by velcro.
