Eero Saarinen designed the Tulip chair in 1957, characterised by its famous goblet shape, emphasised by reducing the support to a single central steam. Considered one of the greatest design icons, this collection of unique and timeless furniture follows the original design specifications and embodies an awareness of the purpose and strength of modern design. Tulip consists of a white lacquered die-cast aluminium base, treated and protected with Rilsan and a moulded and lacquered reinforced fibreglass shell. The removable seat cushion is attached to the seat by Velcro. The KnollStudio logo and the signature of Eero Saarinen are positioned under the base.
