Designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide, Tizio Micro is an aluminium table or bedside table lamp with swivelling head and arms balanced by counterweights.Tizio's innovation lies in its construction concept: a transformer, concealed in the base of the lamp, brings the voltage from 230V to 12V and powers a halogen bulb through rods and buttons which, in addition to having a structural function, act as current conductors without the need for electrical cables.
