The Seal Poltrona, now produced by the brand Menu, is probably one of Ib Kofod-Larsen's best-known designs, created in 1952, the one that best shows the Danish designer's attention to detail. The Seal Poltrona fully reflects the Scandinavian style of the 1950s, in which the fine woodwork and the subtle combination of materials between the frame and upholstery create an unmistakable and timeless appeal. The structure with its angled armrests and leather upholstery emphasise comfort, inviting one to laze about. Despite the solid and robust materials, the armchair is light to the eye; the shell seems to be suspended within the wooden frame. Armchair with a solid wood frame turned with a numerically controlled system, then oiled and polished by hand. Available in Natural Oak or Walnut. Plywood seat padded with pocketed springs and polyurethane foam, upholstery in a choice of 3 options: a Re-wool fabric or two colours of Dakar leather. Seat height 40 cm.
