The Hess Table is a piece of furniture by Karakter, designed by award-winning architect and industrial designer Mikal Harrsen and premiered at Salone del Mobile 2023.The Hess Table was born out of a conversation between Harrsen and a drummer friend of his who commissioned the furniture for the dining room of his home. Tracing the silhouette of a drum, he created a round table supported by an airy, lightweight steel frame, which gives the idea of a sounding board because of the continuous lines joining the 3 legs. The circular shape, besides being reminiscent of this funny episode, was chosen because it creates a greater sense of togetherness among the guests.
