Sol Fruit Bowl

Sol is a fruit bowl in blown glass designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1982 for Memphis Milano. Ettore Sottass' genius conceived Sol for Memphis Milano, a blown glass fruit bowl that conveys a vibrant contemporary appeal. The precious materiality of blown glass is concretized in avant-garde sinuous figures and edgy geometric shapes. The whole composition seems to be floating, due to the central transparent tubular element that supports the blue bowl, connected to the basis through three precious threads of different colors.
