Shuttle Rug

Shuttle Rug is a product of Karakter presented at the Salone del Mobile 2023. Based on a 2022 design by textile artist Karin Carlander, it is the result of technical experimentation that implements her creative curriculum.Shuttle Rug is woven in paper fibre, a material that enhances the artisanal details of contemporary furnishing, resulting in a product that is excellent for both public and private use. Paper was chosen by the designer for its delicacy and inflexibility that challenged the material manufacturers, for the possibility of obtaining vivid and lasting colours and for the personality of the material itself, so ephemeral but at the same time resistant. The visible pattern highlights the distinctive texture of paper yarn, a material of plant origin that is evidence of a sustainable choice.Rectangular rug made of paper yarn, available in red, light grey and green.
