Shang Wood Table

Shang Wood is a round table designed by Giuliano & Gabriele Cappelletti for the brand Riva 1920. It's made of blockboard top with solid wood edging and optional central marble insert, equipped with a Lazy Susan swivel system. The base, composed of strips of solid wood, represents the symbol of infinity. The Cappelletti brothers embody in this product the philosophy of the brand: Shang is a round table that takes its shape right from the matter, wood above all. It comes in the simpler version with wooden top or, optionally, with a central swivel plate, that can be of the same wood type of the rest of the table or made in a precious Emperador marble block. The central foot of the Shang table acquires lightness through the combination of solid and void volumes, allowing its main peculiarity to be shown: the shape of the symbol of infinity.
