Ripples is a stool by Horm, seat made from plywood using five different types of wood. Ripples stools were inspired by the Ripples bench by Toyo Ito, winner of the 2004 Golden Compass; fabricated with a laminated composite of five different solid woods: walnut, mahogany, cherry, oak and ash; that create concentric circles of different color; the legs made from plywood with edging and walnut veneer. The seat, soft and enveloping, is hand finished making the perfectly smooth surface without leaving perceive the lines of division between a wood and the other.
