Revolt Chair

Revolt is a chair designed by Friso Kramer for Hay. Available in three finishes for the base and a wide range of colors for the seat shell. Designed by Friso Kramer in the 1950s when he was working for Ahrend, Revolt is relaunched today by Hay. Revolt, one of the most iconic pieces of Kramer's work, is pure expression of the Dutch designer's minimalist style, as well as being a revolutionary chair as it uses a folded sheet steel frame to replace the traditional tubular frame hitherto used for the structure of the chairs. Today Revolt maintains the same characteristics of its mid-century precursor, but using a different choice of materials for the body; Hay once again focuses on the sustainability of its products, which is why a mix of recycled and virgin ABS is used. This iconic design element, in addition to exploiting a timeless line and aesthetics, offers incredible durability and resistance, and a high level of comfort, characteristics that make Revolt capable of adapting to many different contexts such as public places, companies or private residences.
