Reflex is an original collection of stools designed by Akiko Ken Made for the Motarasu brand. Made entirely of oak wood, available in four finishes: natural matt lacquered oak, natural oil oak, and matt lacquered oak stained black, and black oil oak.Bringing the two pieces of wood on each surface together in a beveled joint makes the stool strong enough to carry the weight of a person. Repeating this technique all the way around achieves cross stability. Reflex conceals careful workmanship, making it simple to the eye, but with the valuable architectural study. The proposed finishes leave the wood grain clearly visible, and given the nature of oak, each stool will have a unique and unrepeatable appearance.
