Queenwood is an elegant armchair designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell brand. Queenwood is part of the Smart Wood collection, which also includes a chair and an armchair with footrests: Princesswood and Kingwood. With this innovative series of seats, Kartell for the first time introduces wood as a material of use: taking advantage of the 3D technology, which allows a very high level of wood bending, a fluid and natural effect is created, characterized by finesse and curves, using little material, just wood residues. Queenwood consists of a moulded plywood shell on which a seat fits, made of wood, leather or plastic, all resting on a chromed or painted steel structure.
