Quba by Kimano are a series of wood and natural stone storage units designed by Gabriele D'Angelo. The Sicilian designer draws inspiration from his origins to create what can be defined as Table Architecture.Quba was born from the observation of Palermo's Arab-Norman architecture, and each piece incorporates the typical features of this unique style. You can easily recognise the domes of the church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti or the Martorana bell tower in the oriental lines of these boxes that will not go unnoticed in the kitchen or in your living room. Precious natural stone encloses a light wood core that can hold food or other objects. Quba celebrates the playful idea of grasping a dome to remove the roof of a small church, while promoting the unique forms of a history of identity and unity between peoples. Kimano, like the Normans, promotes the craftsmanship of Sicilian cabinetmakers and stonemasons, choosing to make its objects while maintaining a very high standard of quality.Set of storage units in wood and natural stone. Available individually or in sets. All Kimano materials are not lacquered but impregnated with a sealant that protects them from stains as long as they do not set immediately.
