Principi Chair was designed in 1964 by Gio Ponti and now produced by Cassina. Essential simplicity and craftsmanship in a product with timeless appeal. The Principi chair is a re-edition of the iconic chair by the master Gio Ponti, originally designed for the prestigious Parioli hotel in Rome, the "Parco dei Principi". Made of lacquered ash and available in different shades, it features an extremely lightweight structure. The crosspieces connect with the curved end, which requires two sessions of sandblasting and gluing. It takes Cassina craftsmen four hours of carpentry work to finish the chair. Gio Ponti is a visionary of Italian design and is among the masters of the Cassina collection, his signature is thus stamped on each chair together with the "M iMaestri" logo.
