Poêle High Stool is part of an unusual collection produced by Alessi: the brand known for the production of steel utensils, in 2023, bets on the creativity of Philippe Starck to launch a collection that, ironically, takes its name from the word used in French for "frying pan".Poêle High Stool lets the design play with contrasts, exploiting the versatility and strength of steel alongside the organic nature of beech wood. Simple components that form an elegant whole with precise, clean lines that convey lightness and dynamism in a fascinating formal dialectic. Starck encapsulates the different identities of metal, using it lightly in the footrest, and making it consistent yet organic in the seat. The height of the seat has been fine-tuned to suit peninsulas and kitchen islands, but also for lounge bars and elegant restaurant settings.Stool in beech wood treated with solvent-free water-based brown dye and fittings in 18/10 cold-pressed steel with a polished chrome finish.
