PK33 is an iconic stool designed by Poul Kjærholm and produced by Fritz Hansen. PK33 is proposed in a special edition, with a seat in Aniline untreated leather fixed to the steel frame.PK33 is proposed in a further exclusive version in uncolored aniline leather, a material processed in an environmentally friendly way enhancing its purity.Untreated aniline leather is a kind of high-quality leather produced through a dyeing process in which only a light aniline-based dye is used, without further finishes or paints. This dyeing process makes the aniline leather very soft, flexible and breathable, free of any protective coating. Because of the lack of protective finishes, untreated alcaline leather is more vulnerable to stains and scratches compared to other kinds of leather. What many consider flaws, is actually a beautiful natural distinctive feature of the leather that can develop an elegant patina and age gracefully. The color darkens over time and takes on a more vintage look, due to light exposure and frequent use, making each item unique.
