PK 22 is the armchair designed by Poul Kjærholmnel, since 1956, produced by Republic of Fritz Hansen. Discreet and elegant, the PK22 is a masterpiece of modern design trend of the industrial age healthiest European industrial design. The profile of the structure of the steel frame is from Poul Kjærholmnel graduation project, the "Element" Chair (PK25 ™), from the School of Applied Arts in Copenhagen. He criticized and admired, in 1957 the chair was awarded the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale, the most important design fair in the world. The prize catapulted Kjærholm's career and immediately he became a name on the international scene and has enjoyed this position ever since.
