Penrose is a dining table collection designed by Hayo Gebauer for the La Chance brand. Base made of ash wood, available in two combinations, natural or colored. The top is made of clear glass or neon pink glass. Available in one size.Always attracted by the scientific studies of mathematician Roger Penrose, the young Berlin designer wanted to pay homage to the scientist's famous 'impossible triangle', an iconic image that inspired the original Penrose table legs. Depending on the perspective from which they are viewed, the legs create a surreal play of overlapping or merging, which can look like three legs, as well as four or even five. The transparency of the top clearly shows the geometry of the base. Behind the creation of the Penrose table is an elaborate study of materials, emphasized in their natural beauty. The base comes in two versions: the natural version uses three variations of ash wood, bleached, oiled, and stained black. While the colored version comes in soft orange, pale pink, and dark blue.
