Pavilion AV2 is a stackable chair with armrests conceived by the designer duo Anderssen & Voll, made from bend steel tubes and formpressed veneer. Pure expression of Nordic design, Pavilion AV2 chair by &Tradition represents the perfect combination of elegance and comfort. With its slender and delicate profiles, this stackable chair with armrests evokes an airy feeling of marvelous lightness. Dynamic and versatile, Pavilion AV2 enters both private and public spaces with utter class. Not by chance, the chair was first conceived to furnish the rooms of the Langelinie Pavilion, located in Copenhagen's Kastellet. Anderssen & Voll's challenge was to create a refined, solid and comfortable stackable chair for public and private events in this iconic and multi-purpose venue. Pavilion AV2 rediscovers the structure and material resistance that have defined the brand since its foundation at the end of the 19th century. A classic that returns with a modern touch, to meet every contemporary need. “Often tube chairs are constructed at fixed angles,” notes Anderssen. “We wanted a freer form of expression and explored the idea of bent tubing teamed with bent plywood.” Pavilion AV2 chair by &Tradition characteristics: • Production process: the chair is made from bend steel tubes and formpressed veneer. • The veneer back and seat are finished with a PU lacquer. • The chair is tested for strength, durability and safety according to EN 16139 Level 2 -extreme contract use. • Base finished in black powder coated steel (RAL 9005 gloss 35) or Chrome. • The chair is available in the following finishes: lacquered oak, black lacquered oak, lacquered walnut.
