Patchwork Decolorized is a rug by Golran illustrating the Union Jack. Thanks to its colors and geometries, the British flag has always been fascinating. Golran have represented it on one of their precious rugs. The decolorized carpets are knotted by hand and subjected to a decoloration process followed by re-dyeing with monochromatic vegetal dyes. Each type of yarn and weave has a different reaction to both processes, thus yielding a Flag characterised by changeable hues and effects. The result is amazing - metropolitan style and craftsmanship combined in a perfect union.
