Ossicle Leather Armchair by Giobagnara is a piece of furniture from the Ossicle collection designed by Francesco Balzano, the result of experimentation with inspirations drawn from antiquity. Ossicle Leather Armchair focuses on the originality of its lines, which employ the collection's constant motifs, such as wavy lines and monumental volumes, to create juxtapositions between elements with a minimalist yet pop flavour. The latter effect is also achieved by the contrast of colours and finishes between the front foot and the seat. The individual constituent components maintain the essentiality typical of seating archetypes from the classical era; indeed, this is the period in which the roots of Ossicle's design are rooted, as the name itself suggests, inspired by the pieces of the ancient Greco-Roman game of aliossi (or astragals) pawns with an irregular and organic shape made of bone.
