In 1991, Gunnar Cyrén designed the Nobel Champagne Glass for the 90th Anniversary of the Nobel Prize. The crystal champagne glass is made with a golden glass ball in real 21 carat gold at the foot. The glass has a long and narrow bowl, to preserve the bubbles in sparkling drinks. To this day, every December at Stockholm City Hall, Nobel Prize-winners and Royalty raise these champagne glasses from the Orrefors Nobel collection.
