The Opalino vase created in 1932 by Venini comes in an exclusive guise for Mohd. A vase with an elegant countersink and an intense color, Opalino 706.22. To celebrate its 100 years of history, Venini enters into an extraordinary collaboration with Mohd, which has always promoted the culture of authentic design, creating a limited series of 49 Opalini 706.22 vases, in the exclusive two-tone Rosso Sangue di Bue exterior, Ametista interior. Each Opal will be signed “Venini for Mohd 2020 1/49” and will be accompanied by expertise that will certify the limited series. In each vase, you can see the refined details and complex processes with which Venini communicates a form of luxury that coexists with the purest beauty of glass art. The Opalino technique starts from the processing of lattimo, an opaque white glass, invented in Murano around the middle of the 15th century in order to imitate the first porcelains of great fashion in Europe. It is obtained by overlapping the lattimo glass with a glass or more thin transparent and colored glasses, obtaining splendid objects with intense and bright colors. To embellish soft-colored glass, gold and silver leaves are included on the entire surface, obtaining splendid "Aurati" objects.
