The Opalino vase was created in 1932 by Venini. A vase with an elegant countersink and an intense color, Opalino 706.22. In this version, Ambra/Lattimo finish. The Opalino technique starts from the processing of lattimo, an opaque white glass, invented in Murano around the middle of the 15th century in order to imitate the first porcelains of great fashion in Europe. It is obtained by overlapping the lattimo glass with a glass or more thin transparent and colored glasses, obtaining splendid objects with intense and bright colors. In each vase, you can see the refined details and complex processes with which Venini communicates a form of luxury that coexists with the purest beauty of glass art.
