It is made entirely of solid pine boards, joined using a carving technique that allows one board to be inserted into the other. This gives the bed a clean, seamless appearance. Over time, the Notch bed's pine wood will develop a beautiful patina, further enhancing its natural and cosy appeal. To preserve the inherent beauty of the wood and avoid excessive colour changes, each board is carefully lacquered with a clear, matt UV varnish.
