ND54 is a high chair designed by the couple Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel and re-proposed by Carl Hansen & Søn. A high chair born from a real need, this is the story of ND54, the high chair designed by Nanna and Jørgne Ditzetl, today considered among the greatest exponents of Danish Modern. The couple had two twin daughters in 1954, and in the same year they designed this high chair, capable of combining functionality with aesthetics; children's furniture must be able to be aesthetically intriguing to attract the playful mind of the infant, but at the same time they must be able to facilitate the life of parents who daily have to take care of their offspring. Carl Hansen & Søn, adding the Ditzels to its already vast designer portfolio, has decided to reintroduce this high chair, considered a cornerstone of design for children, thanks to its almost disarming simplicity and also thanks to the ability to connect with other furniture around the table since dinner. The chair, made of FSC ™ certified beech wood, is capable of accommodating children up to 15 kg. Finished in matt lacquer to facilitate cleaning, it is equipped with leather straps to ensure the child's seat as well as the possibility of adding a backrest for greater comfort. There are also three stainless steel plates, added to allow engraving and make each chair a unique piece that is part of the family's history, an heirloom to be handed down from generation to generation.
