Monofiore 100.36 is a blown glass vase and hand-crafted with the traditional technique of working to "Balloton", with red thread reported hot on top of the object. The newest version has more round and flattened shape. Balloton is a technique used to obtain a particular optical effect. It is based on the use of a metal mold with inside of a small square based pyramid tips that, during blowing, to give the object a cross-relief effect. The art of glass Venini here is available in pale colors with red thread or mint green with red thread.
