Merkur dining Chair With Armrests has been produced by Menu in 2023, based on the project presented by Skogstad & Wærnes for the decor of one of the most important monumental buildings in Norway.Merkur dining Chair With Armrests draws on the archetypes of furniture history to create a worthy chair for the Oslo historic stock exchange. This is why it has been named after the Roman god of commerce. This is a seat, whose identity is based on traditional principles, characterised by a structure in solid wood and a violin-shaped backrest (like the chairs that had been used in that bulding since the ninteenth century), with specifically shaped details making Merkur perfectly suitable for a historic setting and bringing a very contemporary comfort. The charm of this modern reinterpretation of the classic dining chair is also due to the use of traditional techniques in its manufacturing process. The result is a timeless and classic line, with a solid and welcoming appearance.Chair with armrests in curved solid oak and bent plywood. Foam padding.
