Memento Mori is a suspension lamp designed by Maxim Velčovský and manufactured by Lasvit.Lasvit proposes this lamp with an exclusive style, imposing and of great visual impact. Memento Mori which stands for “Recalling Death” in latin, is the emblem of this object that symbolizes birth and death, a clear reference to crafts which have been handed down generations in Europe.The lamp is made up of a big circular ceiling rose that hosts five spotlights projecting a direct light on the body in pressed art glass. The glass body represents a set of bones of different sizes. The chains, also made up of small bones, reinterpret the timeless classic chandeliers. The light, projected through the glass, gives life to charming and elegant light compositions. The simplicity is only apparent and it shows design and manufacturing expertise, able to solve complexity in elements and details that are hidden in the main structure.
