Marilyn Maquette c.1967 #109 Rug is part of a limited edition collection by Henzel Studio. Calle Henzel, the brand's founder, has made the most of her collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation, allowing herself to be inspired by a never-before-seen work by the father of Pop Art.Marilyn Maquette c.1967 #109 Rug reproduces a detail of the iconic portrait of the American diva, taken from an unpublished artefact by Andy Warhol, retrieved from one of his famous time capsules: 610 boxes in which he stored objects from his daily life, sketches and ideas. In one of these boxes was the model for an artist's book from 1967, consisting of 38 pages in an elongated octagonal shape, bound accordion-like by hand, each page reproducing a large-scale detail of his Marilyn. Each of the proposed carpets perfectly reproduces one of these pages with its enlarged details and bright colours with strong contrasts, typical of Warhol. A curl, a corner of the lips or simply the texture of the original silkscreen of the famous work of art can decorate your living room making it unique, through precious fibres, fine workmanship and a limited edition that makes these rugs rare and exclusive.A limited edition octagonal rug made of bamboo silk, hand-knotted in 150 knots. Each rug will be delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity stating that it belongs to the limited series. Available in 3 sizes.
