Mantiqueira is a refined collection of vases designed by Domingos Tótora for Tacchini Edizioni. The series is divided into four versions, different in shape and finish. Mantiqueira vases are made with recycled cardboard. Defining them as simple vases is an understatement, the Brazilian designer wanted to emphasize the concept of the vase by creating small, refined and unique art objects. Nature and craftsmanship come together to create a new material, recycled cardboard, in fact, it is shaped and regenerated through a sustainable process: worked and shaped by hand, to give shape to sculptural pieces, dried in the sun and then finished. The Mantiqueira vases are offered in four shades - beige, red, black and brick - perfect as single complements, suggestive if different models are displayed together, for a refined play of colors and irregular shapes.
