Loop Banquette

Loop is a seating collection designed by India Mahdavi for Wiener GTV Design. The series consists of a comfortable lounge chair and a banquette. Bent beech frame available in numerous finishes, upholstered seat and backrest. The roller backrest is fully removable.The Iranian-French designer has skilfully worked wood as if it were a plastic material, with an apparent malleability that instead conceals a careful use of craft techniques. “Gebrüder Thonet Vienna is the only manufactory in the world that enables you to translate a free hand drawing by giving it a wooden materiality of that quality" . The collaboration between India Mahdavi and the Viennese company gave birth to the Loop collection, furniture with an important visual impact and a durable and long-lasting structure. The guiding thread in both elements is the presence of loops, in the armrests and in the cylindrical shape of the backrest, a loop that repeats itself without interruption.
