Lesbo is a table lamp designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Artemide in 1967. Polished metal base and blown Murano glass diffuser. Delicate, refined and sculptural, the Lesbo lamp by Artemide represents one of the 1970s Made in Italy lighting symbols. The name of the lamp is important, as it takes inspiration from the homonymous Greek island where the famous poetess Sappho lived. Designer Angelo Mangiarotti pays homage to the glass working techniques through this table lamp with its soft and sensual shape. A simple annular base in polished metal supports an elegant, mouth-blown Murano glass diffuser in the shape of a mushroom. The white surface of the diffuser of the Lesbo lamp presents shades that allow the light source to be hidden and direct the light beam upwards. Perfect to be placed on the table, on the desk, on the bedside table or on an entryway cabinet, the Artemide Lesbo lamp provides a soft, warm and ethereal light, which enhances and emphasizes the fascinating features of glass. Light Source: Max 1x70W halogen bulb (E 27) - ECO with light intensity dimmer
