Kobi Wood+Pad Large is a chair by Patrick Norguet for Alias. Painted steel shell; painted aluminum belt and oak veneered aluminum legs. Cushion in polyurethane foam covered in Kvadrat fabric. Patrick Norguet studies a new type of seating, drawing inspiration from the tradition of wire chairs, and designs Kobi with an elegant and light structure: a suspended architecture of great contemporaneity. The shell is a sort of rigorous and enveloping basket, created by the intertwining of welded steel rods. The support, in cast aluminum, elegantly embraces the seat, totally enveloping its shape. Norguet represents a free spirit of French design, has developed an approach to design based on eclecticism, designing objects characterized by a continuous search for balance and rationality.
