Joggler Rug

Joggler Rug by Illulian is part of the Locularis collection designed by Elena Salmistraro.Joggler Rug, together with Guitar Rug, belonging to the same collection, wants to tell the story of the complexity of the figure of the juggler, trying to give it back dignity and depth. The Joggler (or juggler), who with various movements and acrobatics transforms simple and pure objects, such as circles and spheres, into a unique and enchanting attraction, is reworked in a graphic key here with broken lines and roundels repeated in a modular manner. Through Elena Salmistraro's representational syntax of mirrored geometric shapes and pastel colours, she wants to narrate the art of entertainment and creative freedom. Rectangular rug hand-knotted by Nepalese craftsmen at 152,000 knots/sqm. 50% silk and 50% Himalayan wool, fibres dyed with vegetable and mineral pigments. Base 0.05 cm high, pattern 0.07 cm.
