Incisi is a collection of various shapes and colors designed by Paolo Venini in 1956 for the Venini brand. The inciso and soffiato techniques here give life to small, timeless masterpieces.Paolo Venini signs a collection that has marked the history of the Italian company. The Incisi owe their name to the innovative technique developed in the Furnace, with which the surface of the object is sandblasted, for a satin effect of extreme elegance.The soffiato technique is so defined because artisans expand and shape the glass by blowing air inside a long metal rod connected to it, as the millennial tradition of glassmaking.The artistic technique of incisi is performed with a hard stone grinding wheel, with which the cold surface of the nearly finished object is etched, following the artist's design with absolute precision.
