They are made with the lattimo technique. The lattimo is an opaque white glass, invented in Murano around the middle of the fifteenth century in order to imitate the first of the most fashionable porcelain in Europe. It is obtained by overlapping "lattiamando" glass with a glass or more thin transparent and colored glass, obtaining beautiful objects with intense and bright colors. To embellish glass with soft colors, gold and silver leaves are included on the entire surface, obtaining splendid "Aurati" objects.
