Guitar Rug by Illulian is part of the Locularis collection designed by Elena Salmistraro.Guitar Rug, together with its twin from the same collection, Joggler Rug, recounts the complexity of the figure of the jester, attempting to retrain this figure from the common epithet of the idler. Guitar represents the musician who, thanks to his lute or guitar, improvises tales, stories, melodies, magically transforming reality into fantasy. Through Elena Salmistraro's representational syntax of recurring geometric shapes and pastel colours, she wants to narrate the art of entertainment and creative freedom. Rectangular carpet hand-knotted by Nepalese craftsmen at 152,000 knots/sqm. 50% silk and 50% Himalayan wool, fibres dyed with vegetable and mineral pigments. Base 0.05 cm high, pattern 0.07 cm.
