Gropius Low Chair is part of a seating collection by Noom. Designer Kateryna Sokolova was inspired by Walter Gropius, the German architect, urban planner and academic who was one of the founders of the Bauhaus school of art and design.Gropius Low Chair is a seat with bold volumes. Cylinders and spheres, together with the particular texture of the fabric that completely covers it, create sharp modulations of light and shadow that give the room character. 100 years after the founding of the Bauhaus, the clean geometries return and tell of the innovative spirit with which functionalism and craftsmanship were united in the last century, still appreciated today for its modernity. Handcrafted low chair, fully upholstered in Karakorum bouclé fabric of wool and viscose. Wood and plywood frame. Foam and soft injection-moulded foam padding. Spherical cushion included. Seat height: 44 cm
