Gioia Large Wall Lamp

Gioia is a collection of wall lamps designed by the designer Andrea Anastasio and produced by the famous Foscarini brand. Made of PMMA, marble, polycarbonate, steel and painted aluminum. Available colors: blue, pink or green.The magic of the lamp lies in the composition: an element in statuary marble placed in the center of a Perspex disk transparent. The two materials are joined by a single ring embellished by a handcrafted process; the whole is in turn fixed to the wall by a small pin. The two elements, free to move, recall the swinging rhythm of a pendant or an earring. The transparency of PMMA contrasts with the opacity of marble: it is the encounter between a past that recalls the statuary, the friezes and the great architectural works and a present made of inventions and synthetic materials. In Gioia the functional part of the lamp is disconnected from the decorative one.
