Egg is a footstool designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Fully upholstered with a wide range of fabrics and leathers. The aluminum base is mounted on a satin polished steel plinth. We are talking about one of the most famous and important objects in the history of international design. The Egg collection is one of Jacobsen's design triumphs, a sculptural contrast to the almost exclusively vertical and horizontal surfaces of buildings. Egg Chair is the result of a new technique, which Jacobsen was the first to use: a strong foam shell under the padding. Originally designed for the lobby of the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, this famous armchair exudes a timeless charm and elegance. The Egg footstool has a neat, understated form and a star-base to match the curves of the Egg chair.
