D04 Graffiti & Vérité is a striking rugs collection designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Cassina brand, in collaboration with cc-Tapis. The series includes two models, both offered in sizes 200x300 and 300x400. Hand-knotted rugs in Himalayan wool (125,000 knots per m2).Renowned Italian companies have combined their prestige and craftsmanship to pay homage to the brilliant career of French designer Charlotte Perriand with this collection of carpets inspired by her work. The Graffiti & Vérité rugs are the result of an important trip Perriand made to Japan in the 1940s. On board a ship, she began to carefully observe the sailors' graffiti traced with chalk on its deck.The Graffiti pattern recreates in white on black the abstract shapes of an insect and a fish, images that are very present in Japanese culture, while the Vérité carpet on a warm red color shows an enlarged symbol of the Japanese alphabet.
